This painting has her roots in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Spain. I had the pleasure to live at family in Spain for a little while. Free to paint, reboot and connect. The teapot is inspired by my own Japanese teapot that I use in the atelier. It serves a vibrant Camellia flower. However the Japanese inspiration, I feel the colour palet and structure of this piece are definitely influenced by the warm and rustic environment of Benitaxel.
